Last month, ICCA President Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler, immediate-past President Donald Donovan and past President Albert Jan van den Berg travelled
to Beijing last month for joint events with the Beijing Arbitration Commission (BAC) and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC).

The ICCA-Tsinghua University Working Group on Chinese Arbitral Practice is pleased to announce the launch of a Compendium of Chinese Commercial Arbitration Laws.

ICCA is pleased to present the preliminary programme for its 2020 Congress in Edinburgh, and to invite expressions of interest to speak at the event.

On Thursday 4 April, the newly established African Arbitration Association (AfAA), a project with roots in ICCA’s 2016 Mauritius Congress, received the 2019 GAR Award for Best Development.

On Tuesday 26 March 2019, ICCA, ICC Mexico and the ICC Court of Arbitration co-hosted the “Role of the Judiciary in Arbitration” Conference in Mexico City.

In conjunction with the IBA Arbitration Day in Montreal, the ICCA-IBA Joint Task Force on Data Protection in International Arbitration Proceedings held its inaugural consultation meeting.

With great sadness, ICCA marks the passing of ICCA Advisory Board Member Ahmed El-Kosheri on 18 March 2019.
