ICCA has a strong commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion. ICCA’s Diversity and Inclusion Policy, Diversity and Inclusion Implementation Plan and Non-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy are available here.

This Task Force publishes statistics on the appointment of female arbitrators and identifies best practices to promote gender diversity in the field of international arbitration. Read more about the Task Force and their latest report here.

The Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association and ICCA have created a checklist for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in international arbitration conferences. View the Conference Diversity Checklist here.

The ICCA Inclusion Fund was established in 2020 by the ICCA Inclusiveness Committee with the objective of supporting engagement in ICCA activities for those who do not have adequate means. More than 50 ICCA Congress fee waivers have been awarded so far.

ICCA’s Working Group on African Arbitral Practice contributed to the formation of AfAA, and continues to support its work. AfAA is a pan-African arbitration body promoting use of African arbitration and arbitrators.

Established by ICCA in 2010, Young ICCA is a leading arbitration knowledge network for young practitioners and students. Young ICCA aims to “open the doors of international arbitration” to young practitioners across the globe.

The ACICA Pacific Islands Practitioner Scholarship supports up to two scholarships (on a biennial basis) to attend the ACICA & Ciarb Australia International Arbitration Conference and Australian Arbitration Week.

The purpose of the Karl-Heinz Böckstiegel Foundation is to promote science and research as well as vocational training. Among other projects, the Foundation offers funding for academics to attend the biennial ICCA Congress.

REAL is a group of global lawyers practicing in international arbitration and striving to achieve racial equality for arbitration lawyers.

The African Promise seeks to improve the profile and representation of African arbitrators especially in arbitrations connected to Africa.
