International Arbitration and its Contribution to the Rule of Law Narrative
Plenary 1 Part A(1)
A robust legal system ensuring the rule of law is often seen as a necessity both for economic development and the protection of human rights. International arbitration is a system separate from and in addition to national court systems, and offers an alternative to resolving disputes before national courts. A panel of economists, political scientists, and jurists will debate and discuss how the international arbitration system affects the rule of law, human rights, and economic development.
